Hello Everyone!!!

I just popped in to wish everyone a HAPPY NEW YEAR and to let you know I will be returning to blogging in the next few days. I have missed you all soooooo much and am so grateful for all of the concerned  e-mails and comments!!! Ya’ll are the BEST!!! I am looking forward to catching up with all of you and catching up on all of your wonderful posts!!!

Here at our house we will be keeping the southern tradition of eating black eyed peas and greens for good luck in the new year…and because we love it;)!!! Don’t forget to do the same!!!

I just had to share this with ya’ll! This is the work of my sweet friend Sonya! I have been blogging with Sonya since she started her GORGEOUS blog a few months ago! She does the most stunning work…I am in love with her brave use of color and mix of fabrics! I am always telling her I wish she had been around when we built our house to encourage me towards her level of courage. I love color but I tend towards playing it a little too safe! She sews…she paints and creates the most wonderful goodies…as you can tell from the pics! You simply MUST visit her site! BEYOND THE SCREEN DOOR!!! Even her blog name is darling! A Cloche and a Little Fallishness!!!

    

Yippee!!! It’s cloche party day! Our darling Marty is having a fall cloche party today and I am thrilled to be participating! I set up a little vignette in my dining room and since it included my newest cloche I thought it would be perfect for today! I look forward to seeing everyone’s creations! A Few Little Goodies from Anthropologie!!!

 

  

I ran into Anthropologie the other day with my daughter. She was looking for something to wear for a special date so I thought I would check out the home goodies. I found these few little items. The first one is a child's apron...I have a little collection so this one had to come home with me. Isn't it cute? I love the ric rac and the floral trim...darling! The second...candles...aren't the jars cute...love love love! They smell delicious...pineapple ginger cake...YUMMY! Finally...I had been seeing these around blogland and of course I had to grab one...a little orange timer! It matches my Kitchen Aid mixer perfectly...ya'll know I have a thing for orange;)! Sometime it's the little things that make us happy;)!

It's a Barn Chick Party!!!

    

I'm late again! It's kind of funny since I am never late in real life...just in blog life;)! I am joining sweet Karen at Brayton Homestead Interiors for her Barn Chicks party. Most of you that know me well know that I have a slight obsession with living in a cottage in the country. For a while we toyed with the idea of building a little cottage in Fredericksburg,Texas. While we were in the planning stages we took some pics of places that we wanted to replicate...vintage barns and homesteads that pepper the landscape of the hill country. I thought these would be perfect for today.
