It's Flaunt Your Red Friday!!!

I was so excited to hear about this event!!!

Most of the front part of my house is decorated with red.

I love red!!!

It's the color of love, the color of passion

and one of my favorite colors!!!

Friendship!!!

I am having a few friends over for lunch today.

I am serving salad, fresh baked bread, iced tea and lemon bars.

Just a simple meal for a rainy spring day in Texas.

I just wanted to take a little time to catch up with

the girls closest to me in my life.

A little time to say thank you for always being there.

I also want to take the time today to thank

my sweet NEW friend at A Little Shabby Always Chic
for giving me both of these awards!!!
She is the kindest and lovliest young woman!!!

Blue Monday!!!

This is my first ever Blue Monday!!!

I am having sooo much participating in all of these weekly events!!!

It is such a great way to meet

new people and make new friends!!!

I decided to include a quick and

easy recipe for a yummy spread that tastes amazing

on the cookies in this cute BLUE tin!!! The recipe and

the cookies are from World Market.

They were doing a demonstration during

my kids Easter break and my son

almost raptured when he tasted it!!! I highly recommend it!!!

I threw in some extra BLUE photos just for fun!!!

Lemon Drop Spread

10 oz. cream cheese, room temperature

1 cup lemon curd

A squeeze of lemon

Optional~ lemon zest on top

Whip ingredients together until fully combined

and smooth.

Serve with Nyakers Gingersnaps.

ORANGE Kitchen-Aid mixer...love it!!!
