Earth laughs in flowers... Ralph Waldo Emerson

A man can no more diminish God's glory by refusing to worship Him than a lunatic can put out the sun by scribbling the word, 'darkness' on the walls of his cell.

There is an area in our town that has beautiful 1920, 1930 and 1940 era homes.

They are adorable cottages with lovely grounds. I was in this area today and

had my camera. I thought I would take some pictures of the entrances to these

homes and share with you!!! I love them all but I think the first and third ones

are my favorite. I hope you like them too!!!

I hope everyone is having a great week!!!

Lots of Love!!!

Cathy

They are beautiful! I just love the arched tops. I wish more homes were built with that type of detail now. Thanks for showing us.

Ooo. I've always loved houses with nice entry ways. My best friend growing up had the most beautiful front door and her doorbell made a pretty sound, not the normal ding dong LOL.

All the best,
Allison

Beautiful my friend. Edmond, Oklahoma, has an older section that look a lot like this area in your town. You have inspired me to get my camera out and do some picture-taking around the neighborhood!!!

I always love my visits...beautiful!

I love looking at homes. Guess that's why I became a realtor. Lovely homes. I enjoyed seeing the neighborhoods in the Dallas area. The Highland Park neighborhood was especially nice.

Hey Cathy. I promise I've been trying to leave you comments, but they're not sticking. I'm trying again for the 3rd time. Love the doors. We seem to be drawn to the tudor homes.

Hi Cathy, Thanks for your happy mother's day wishes. It was a good one, I hope your's was good too. These home entrances are so pretty! I just love old houses. Our first house was built in 1923. It was really cute, I'll do a post on it sometime. Have a great rest of the week! Kristen

Hi Cathy...I am so late getting back to you! I just wanted to thank you for coming by...I love your visits..you always make me feel so good! Also...I just wanted to say that I am really not interested in Tweeting...Nothing to it really..I think it is really over rated. I will probably drop off as it just does not interest me. You know me...I never run out of words..and on there they limit you..or of course you can go back and say more...
I ..just don't really care for it.
Now blogging is another thing. We get to speak directly..I don't know..blogging is just much more interesting and gives you a chance to be creative.
Hugs and smiles~
Mona
