Earth laughs in flowers... Ralph Waldo Emerson

A man can no more diminish God's glory by refusing to worship Him than a lunatic can put out the sun by scribbling the word, 'darkness' on the walls of his cell.

Shells!!!

shell 4

We go to California every summer. We stay for a few weeks in July. One of our

favorite things to do while we are there aside from all the beach activities is

collect shells. I say aside from the beach activities because we do our shell

collecting at the local antique shops. Our favorite is King and Co. for those of

you that are in the area. It is downtown La Jolla Ca. and it is the most beautiful

shop. The tray these shells are on also came from this shop. It is 19th century

Italian and has the most wonderful patina. There is some damage on the top of

the tray so I thought it would be perfect for this display. A friend of mine sent

me a few new shells the other day so I tweaked the arrangement a little and

thought I would share it with you. I love the tiny black and white shells for the

base. They are so cute. I love how it turned out.

I hope everyone had a wonderful week!!!

Lots of Love!!!

Cathy

Cathy, I love your shell collection. I have many shells, too! I love how you have displayed them on that beautiful tray. I think the bed of tiny shells really adds a lot of interest. Very unique! Hugs, Terrie

Cathy, I am blessed to have you as a friend. I treasure your friendship. I lived in El Cajon & Springvalley. I moved out there in 1972.

I don't remember if I told you, my daughter and grandkids live in Texas. They are close to FT. Hood.

Cathy,
Everything you do is fabulous, and I don’t say that lightly! What a pretty set up and also a happy memory from your trip. I am getting back into the swing of blog life since my vacation. I am getting caught up on grocery shopping, laundry and work, but it was fun to visit family and time passed much to quickly. Thank you for your kind comments on my last post, it was the perfect welcome home. ~Cathy~
