Mosaic Monday and a Little Met Monday!!!

la_jolla_

This is a repost of one of my first mosaic’s. These are photos of La Jolla, California!!!

It is my favorite place to be on the planet!!! We lived there for 20 years and miss it every

day!!! I love Texas but as you can see from the photos it is hard to leave such a beautiful

spot. Thanks to Mary at a Little Red House for hosting Mosaic Monday!!! Be sure and stop

by  and visit the other girls participating in this event!!!

I thought I would also share in Metamorphosis Monday!!! This is a very little

metamorphosis. We have lived in our house 10 years and as you all know we get tired of

things. This is my entry hall fixture… nothing really wrong with it… I just wanted

something new!!!

crystals. Notice the darling chain cover. It is red and gold check silk. I love

it!!! This is my first Met Monday. Thanks for letting me share my tiny project!!!

Thanks to Susan at BETWEEN NAPS ON THE PORCH for hosting Met Monday!!! Be sure

and visit her lovely blog and check out the other participants in this event!!!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful Monday!!!

Lots of Love!!!

We've never been to La Jolla but it has always sounded like on fabulous place. Love your pictures.

Your new light fixture looks great. Love the little crystals and the open look. Isn't it amazing what a difference the chain cover makes too?

Have a great day.

Cathy - thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving such kind comments. I love, love, love that fixture, and the chain cover is the bestest.

Did you also paint or was that just the effects of the camera? I was also admiring that beautimous woodwork over the doorway. That is some breathtaking craftsmanship. I also liked your plate arrrangement I saw in the other room. (your DR?)

Very, very pretty! Have a great day, Barb

Cathy,
Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving a sweet comment. I love your scripture on the sidebar. It's a lot like my mom's favorite scripture, John 14:27. I have to say these verses a lot while try to keep up with my four boys! I love your new chandelier! It looks wonderful. Little changes like that can make a BIG difference. I'm sure you enjoy it each time you walk through the door.
Many blessings to you,
Traci

La Jolla really is an amazing spot on the coast of California. My roommate in college lived there and it was fun to visit. I need to travel further south one of these days :0)

Hi Cathy! Your mosaic is just beautiful! The water looks like almost an inky blue! Is it that way in person? And I love your chain cover! Seriously, how did you get it up there without taking the light down? Or did you have to get on a ladder and stitch it? Or is it velcro? I see that you have one in the dining room, too, so you must know the secret! You will have to do a post about that! Have a great week...Debbie
PS Love your plates in the dining room!
