My Family Room!!!

                

Several of you have asked to see more of my home so I thought I would start with my favorite room.

I love this room...it is where I spend most of my time when I am home. It is filled with things that I

love and collect and have had for years! My collection of Mackenzie Childs has somewhat dictated my

color scheme. I love my big green sofa...it is fairly new and is sooooo comfy...and of course is my

favorite apple green. I have a few projects planned for in here. A new window treatment for my

french door, a skirt for my desk...just to name a few. This is obviously part of a great room...family

room, kitchen and kitchen nook combination. I will post about the other areas soon. Have a

Another Yummy Paula Recipe!!!

Paula’s White Chocolate Rosemary Peach Shortcake

Ingredients:

Shortcakes:
4 cups bisquick
1/3 cup Sugar
1 1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup white chocolate chips
1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, minced
2 tablespoons melted butter

Peaches:
6 peaches
1 teaspoon Fruit Fresh (fruit preservative)
Splash warm water
1 1/2 cups sugar

Whipped cream:
2 cups heavy whipping cream
1/2 cup sugar

Garnishes:
Fresh Rosemary sprigs
White Chocolate curls (super fancy)

Directions:

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
To make the shortcakes, mix the bisquick, sugar, milk, butter, white chocolate chips and rosemary in a medium size bowl and scoop out onto a parchment lined baking sheet.  Bake for 15 to 20 minutes until done and remove from oven. Cool for 5 minutes.

Peel, core, and slice the peaches. Immediately sprinkle with Fruit Fresh to prevent peaches from turning dark. Add a splash of warm water to the peaches to moisten. Stir the sugar into the peaches, cover, and refrigerate until ready to use.

In a large mixing bowl or mixer, combine the heavy cream and sugar, and whip until peaks start to form.

To serve, split the shortcake in 1/2 and place bottom 1/2 on a plate. Top with a heaping spoonful of the peaches and their juices, a dollop of freshly whipped cream and the top of the shortcake.  Garnish with a sprig of fresh rosemary and a white chocolate curl if you are so inclined.

I am participating today in a linky party with Rene from Cottage and Vine! We have been asked to

tell five cosmetic products we would take with us if we were leaving the house for the weekend. My

products are in my bag that I take with me everyday. The Angel Fragrance is one of my favorite

summer fragrances... yummy! Have to have my lipstick... I wear lipstick even when I have no other

makeup on. Love the hand cream...I have used it for years, it is a wonderful size to fit in your cosmetic

bag. The Trish McEvoy Flawless Lip is supposed to help with lines around the lips...I use it for chapped

lips as much as anything else. The compact... well isn't that obvious :) ? It's sparkly and apple green,

what more could a girl want?!

My Bottle Rack?!!!

   

I thought I would show ya'll my bottle rack I won in Ruth's giveaway! Ruth has a wonderful blog

called The Beautiful Life. It is a wonderful place to visit...stop by and say HI! You can find her on my

I have it dressed for summertime with some fun outdoor goodies...clay pots, a little initial tag...apple

green glasses and a twig heart. This is all sitting on a bistro table on my back patio. I am in love with

the little boy bust with his pouty face...soooo cute...don't you think? Some other pots filled with

thyme, rosemary and a few pink impatients waiting to bloom round out the vignette.  My

little "M" flag is from Canton...I used it for the color inspiration for my patio this summer.

My Friend Lu!!!

Aren't these images beautiful?! They are from my sweet friend Lu's site...Dusty Lu. If you haven't

been there yet you need to visit her right away. I have been following her for a while now and she

is a constant source of inspiration! Her home is gorgeous...white, serene...very shabby

chic...simply stunning and her photography is breathtaking! Lately she has been featuring some

wonderful recipes and let me just say...yummy...and of course they are as lovely to look at as they

are tasty!

images above are Lu's work. Aren't they lovely? I am so thrilled to be able to share these

with  you...kind of a sneak peek! These are some items that Rachel Ashwell will be featuring in her

latest project! I can't wait to see what the wonderful lady is up to now. She has been an

inspiration to me too...I was lucky enough to visit her shop in California several years ago. While I

don't generally go the "white" route...who doesn't love her wonderful combination of old and

You can tell the size of a Christian by what it takes to stop him. Hebrews 12:1 says we are to "run

with patience the race that is set before us." And this word "patience" is not used in the sense that

we use the word. It literally means "endurance."

Everybody knows that a runner is going to win or lose primarily by his endurance. You cannot

quit. When it hurts, you cannot quit. When your lungs are on fire, you cannot quit. When your

feet feel like lead, you cannot quit. When your sides ache, you cannot quit! You'll never be a

spiritual athlete if you're a quitter! No pain. No gain.

Thank God for His power that enables you to run the race and gain the victor's crown!
