Earth laughs in flowers... Ralph Waldo Emerson

A man can no more diminish God's glory by refusing to worship Him than a lunatic can put out the sun by scribbling the word, 'darkness' on the walls of his cell.

Foodie Friday!!!

Thank you to Designs by Gollum for hosting Foodie Friday!!!
Love this Creme Brulee!!!
The recipe is from the chef at the Ritz Carlton in Laguna Niguel, California.
I've had this recipe for 20 years.
It makes the best Creme Brulee ever!!!
Try it... you'll love it!!!

Creme Brulee
Ingredients
1 quart cream
7 egg yolks
2 eggs
6 oz sugar (1 oz = 2 T)
vanilla extract (3/4 t)
oven temperature 350 degrees
Boil cream, add vanilla. Mix the egg yolks, eggs and sugar in a bowl with a whisk. Pour in hot cream while mixing very fast. Fill up each cup with the filling. Cook in the oven in a roasting pan filled with simmering water about halfway up the side of the cups. Cook for 35 to 45 minutes. When done let cool then refrigerate. When ready to serve let stand at room temperature for 15 to 20 minutes. Sprinkle sugar on top and broil until sugar carmelizes. Watch closely as sugar burns easily.
Yummy!!!

Happy Foodie Friday everyone!!!

Lots of Love!!!

Cathy

bj,
The recipe is super easy. I started making it before I could barely cook. The only hint might be to be sure and keep stirring as you are mixing hot and cold ingredeients together so the eggs wont scramble. However, if that happens you can always strain the mixture before you put it in the cups. Thank so much for stopping by. Good luck.
XOXO Cathy
